In this house we are massive fans of sweet treats that don't contain lots of nasties.
I think it's important for Billy to develop a healthy relationship with food and treats are very much a part of that in my opinion. Once he's eating lots of fresh food, fruit and vegetables with plenty of nutrients then the odd treat is a good thing. Food is there to be enjoyed.
Having said that I wouldn't be a fan of pumping all kinds of anything in to the little man. I like to find treats that have a nutritional value as well.
When I came across Chilly Moo Frozen Yoghurt it absolutely ticked all of the boxes. It is a delicious Irish Frozen Yoghurt which is naturally low in fat and sweetened only with fruit juices. Sounds great doesn't it? It also happens to taste out of this world. I've tasted frozen yoghurts before but this is genuinely the nicest that I have ever had. It has the most beautiful consistency. Silky, smooth and velvety. In only minutes out of the freezer it easily scoops out in to perfect soft mounds. It is mouth-watering. We particularly loved the banana and strawberry flavour!
The little man was in agreement. The second he saw the packaging he was bouncing in his high chair. Upon tasting it he tried to grab the entire tub out of my hand. He simply loved it. We kept it in the freezer and it was the perfect treat for our little cherub.
I passed some on to a friend of mine whose daughter is almost one. She had a nasty little tumble and had a cut inside her mouth. She wouldn't let Mammy or Daddy go anywhere near her mouth and then Chilly Moo came to the rescue. She nearly ate a whole tub of it and my friend was overjoyed because it meant that the frozen yoghurt was acting as a cooling agent to reduce the swelling of her sore little mouth. My friend rushed out immediately to buy a couple more tubs.
It's also fabulous for teething. There are days where Billy will not eat a thing because his gums are just too sore. It's really handy to have something like this in the freezer to ease the pain and to also provide him with some nourishment. It helps that it's totally delicious too.
I love to support Irish businesses, but the ladies at Chilly Moo make it easy. I have since purchased the product myself and it is something I will continue to keep an eye out for. I've seen it in Dunnes Stores, Tesco and Supervalu.
Want to try it yourself? I've teamed up with Chilly Moo to offer one of my readers the chance to win this beautiful Chilly Moo Frozen Yoghurt Hamper. It has a wonderful selection of the different flavours and sizes available, as well as this handy freezer bag and frozen yoghurt scoop.
